For Spring-Summer 2020, Paris Fashion Week kicked off with a transatlantic arrival: Telfar Clemens. The designer had teased the event with a film screening in Brooklyn during New York Fashion Week and made the full reveal at the La Cigale concert hall Monday night.
True to Telfar tradition, the clothes came down the runway to a live performance from DJ Crystallmess and musician Klein. His film The World Isn’t Everything, which brought together talent such as artist Petra Collins, playwright Jeremy O. Harris, musician Steve Lacy, and actor Ashton Sanders, was also shown.
Inspired by airport security lines, Clemens deconstructed classic American sportswear styles such as cargo shorts, denim, slacks, and sweatpants. Swipe through our gallery to take a look at highlights from the collection.
