The CFDA hosted its first-ever technology and fashion summit with venture capitalist firm Andreessen Horowitz last month. Several CFDA brands – including Coach, MZ Wallace, and Tory Burch — attended the event at the Crosby Street Hotel, which featured technology leaders discussing ways in which fashion brands can develop their websites and transform them into meaningful marketing tools.
The speakers were Kyle Russell, a partner at Andreessen Horowitz (pictured), who spoke on how Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, and Artificial Intelligence will impact retail; Len Eschweiler, SVP of Affirm, who discussed brand loyalty, and Dan Druker, CMO of Instart Logic, who talked about digital optimization. Additionally, Rebecca Scott, the VP of Brand Strategy at Buzzfeed, taught the audience how to develop online presence and spoke on the future of media, while Rachel Goodman and Amy Gilmer from Pinterest delivered a presentation on the process of curating your brand in a digital space.
The CFDA is looking forward to continuing to explore digital innovations in fashion today, and how these can benefit CFDA members and brands.
