Cadillac House x Title of Work.

On Monday evening, our current Retail Lab resident Jonathan Meizler of Title of Work hosted an exclusive poker night at Cadillac House to kick off day one of New York Fashion Week: Men’s. The space was transformed into a casino replete with dealers looking the part with the help of Redken. VIP guests Adam Pally, Dale Moss and Cory Michael Smith played rounds of blackjack and poker into the late hours. In between the games, we spoke with Meizler about the wild week that has only just begun.

What do you love about NYFW?

The prospect of new ideas coming to fruition

Any favorite memories?

The 16-foot necktie sculpture/installation from my Fall 2017 collection that we hand-beaded onsite.

What a cool event! Where did the inspiration of a casino themed party come from?

Thanks! I wanted to create an interactive evening and when we met with Assouline, I was inspired by the book Poker, and it all fell into place from there…

You’ve been a Retail Lab resident for over a month now, what is one thing you’ve learned so far?

Everything is a process… and patience is a virtue – which I seem to have little of.

What’s your favorite element of your Retail Lab space?

There are a few elements that I am proud of…The three-dimensional ‘dirty words ‘ wall is

cheeky and playful and the sensory cell- a multi-sensory installation that incorporates scent, sight

and sound.
