Sukeina Fall-Winter 2021

Omar Salam believes in elevating the everyday. With his new collection, the designer injected his innovative silhouettes with form and function. Salam, best known for origami folds and handcrafted embroidery, incorporate these distinctive elements with a more relaxed vibe. Hints of sportswear were infused into the collection via ribbed cuffs and colors, sculptural neoprene sweaters, and form-fitting track pants that felt extra-practical at a time when home and work life have merged. Salam also infused high-glamour gowns with intricate braiding that have us dreaming for a glamorous night out.

Salam used this collection as an opportunity to support the American garment industry, proudly producing all pieces in America. “Grace is in the kindness that sustains and surrounds us,” he said. “We have the opportunity of just being still and re-considering and re-structuring and questioning things and recognizing that while this has been challenging season it is also a once in a lifetime opportunity to create a compassionate world.”
