Dani Michelle understands a thing or two about what women want. As the stylist behind some of the most famous women in the world – including Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber – she has been the driving force for many viral celebrity fashion trends.
Now, Michelle isn’t just spotting the trends –she’s creating them. MÉGA, the jewelry collection she designs, is filled with bold investment pieces made to last. Including rings, bracelets, earrings, and necklaces, there’s something for every girl who wants to emulate a bit of Michelle’s effortless chic style. Crafted from 925 sterling silver and 14k gold vermeil, the line ranges at an accessible price point from $22 – $220. Some additional styles and custom pieces crafted in 14k gold and lab-grown diamonds will also be available at higher prices.
To celebrate her new endeavor, we chatted with the LA-based creative to hear about what inspired her new venture.
Congratulations on the launch of your new label! What made you want to start this brand?
Thank you so much! It was when VOGUE called me a Megawatt stylist (hence the name) that I realized it was time to blossom into something new and create something that would be my own outside of my styling world.
Why did you want to dive into the jewelry category, specifically?
I’ve always felt jewelry was so significant to me. It’s something I never took off, and a way that I marked significant moments in my life. I feel that I’ve really found my place in the fashion world, and jewelry felt like such a natural space for me to blossom in. I’ve always found that accessories are the final touch to any look. For me, jewelry is something that I can never get enough of.
Is your design process informed at all by your work in the styling category?
I try to style in a way that has a timeless cool girl look to it, which is something that I feel like resonates with the designs of MÉGA. I’ve never felt that the two lived in a parallel world, however, it seems all of my designs match so well with everything that I style on others and me, so I guess they do!
Are there any favorites or standout pieces from the collection that you love and think are good entry points to the brand?
There are so many pieces I love I couldn’t just pick one! I think jewelry is so personal, and that you should always buy something that speaks to you and makes you smile when you see it.
As a stylist, are there any styling tips you would offer for those looking to layer/stack their jewelry collection?
My advice would be to not be afraid to mix silver and gold metal looks together – sometimes more is just actually more – and that earrings will always complete an outfit!
What is the next step for the brand?
Our goal is to continue to build, grow our community, grow the collection, and be proud of what we create!
