Stuart Vevers has a new title. On Thursday, the creative director of Coach was recognized as Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, an honor bestowed on him by the Princess Royal yesterday at the Royal Investiture in Buckingham Palace.

“I’m the first creative director of an American fashion house to receive full honors as an OBE of the British Empire,” said the CFDA member on his Instagram. “I am humbled and grateful to be recognized for my services to fashion and U.S. and U.K. relations.”

Just last year, Vevers’ forward-thinking approach to design at Coach was celebrated at the CFDA Fashion Awards, with the American fashion house becoming recipient of the third annual Innovation Award presented by Amazon Fashion.

This award specifically highlighted Coach’s groundbreaking initiative, Coachtopia, a collaborative lab for innovation aimed at accelerating the fashion industry’s transition toward a circular economy.

We can’t wait to see how Vevers continues to bring positive change to global fashion.

Congrats!
