This Wednesday evening, Jeffrey Kalinsky — founder of Jeffrey stores, Vice President and Fashion Director of Nordstrom and a member of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Selection Committee – is due to receive the High School of Fashion Industries (HSFI) Legacy Award. Presenting him with his honor at the school at 225 West 24th Street: Steven Kolb, President and Chief Executive Officer of the CFDA.
Kalinsky will be joined by Mazdack Rassi, co-founder and Creative director of Milk Studios, who is receiving the school’s Visionary Award. NCB Today Show Fashion Contributor and Marie Claire Senior Fashion Editor Zanna Roberts Rassi will present the honor to her husband.
CFDA Board Member Stan Herman will serve as Master of Ceremonies.
HSFI was founded in 1926 with a curriculum that incorporates academics with fashion career and technical majors. Its Advisory Board, current and honorary, includes many fashion industry executives, including Sal Cesarani (who, along with his late wife Nancy, attended HSFI), Patti Cohen, Ruth Finley, Jill Golden, and Audrey Smaltz.
