There is so much to love about Pamela Love’s new capsule collection for eBay. The collection, which includes a feather-embellished bracelet and necklace as well as starburst studded earrings, is fittingly brimming with romance. It’s also a nod to Pamela’s ethereal sensibilities, which add a layer of bold and brawn to the pieces (after all, a feather might make its wearer feel like they can fly, whereas stars make wishes come true). For this holiday season, these pieces are at once strong and satisfying with a sense of giving. Shop the collection here.
The six-piece limited-edition collection launches today, Giving Tuesday, with proceeds benefiting Fashion Targets Breast Cancer. CFDA.com sat down with Pamela Love for more on giving and the intersection of fashion and philanthropy.
CFDA.com: What inspired the collection?
Pamela Love: “I wanted to create a capsule of pieces that were very true to the DNA of my brand. These pieces are great for layering and wearing all the time. I chose the feather because it’s both delicate and strong at the same time, and rose gold for breast cancer awareness.”
CFDA.com: Why is Fashion Targets Breast Cancer important to you?
P.L.: “So many of us have loved ones or know someone whose loved one has been affected by cancer. I’ve experienced it first-hand with the people closest to me. It’s a great cause that I wanted to help in any way I could.”
CFDA.com: How do you see fashion and philanthropy intersecting?
P.L.: “I think this initiative is a perfect example of how to give back through fashion. It’s also great for brands to participate on their own, by donating a percentage of proceeds to an organization or cause that needs help and awareness.”
CFDA.com: How will you continue to create awareness for initiatives that are important to you?
P.L.: “I’ll continue to participate in collaborations and projects like this one, as well as contribute as an individual brand whenever possible.”
