Snap and sign! At Monday’s 2025 CFDA Fashion Awards presented by Amazon Fashion, photographer Andrew Tess brought his camera to document the allure of the night through his signature lens.

Tess, who works with his Polaroid camera to document celebrities and New York City’s downtown and LGBTQ+ communities, photographed winners, honorees and VIP guests of the night, capturing candid moments of guests as they moved through the American Museum of Natural History.

Once printed, each Polaroid was handed over to be personalized and signed — transforming each snapshot into a one-of-a-kind memento from fashion’s biggest night.

“Much of my creative process, and the reason I choose to shoot with a film camera and have people take the time to sign, is about reconnecting — finding slow, grounding moments in environments that are often so fast-paced,” Tess said.

The result: chic and uniquely timeless. Each Polaroid serves as a reminder that in fashion, the most fleeting moments often become the most enduring.
