Jonathan Simkhai entered a new era for his much-loved brand. The designer, whose label is now known as just SIMKHAI, has been hard at work refreshing his brand identity – and delivered it to perfection this season. Simkhai shifted the focus towards tailoring and creating heritage pieces that celebrate craftsmanship and are made to last. As he builds out the future of SIMKHAI, the designer began by looking back. Inspired by his grandfather, who ran a lace mill in Tehran before the Shah of Iran was exiled, he incorporated the classic material in innovative ways. Sheer fabrics and crystal-embellished pieces were more  elevated than in seasons past. The highlights included an exclusive collaboration with Wolford, which applied the brand’s signature techniques to bodywear and apparel. This collection was proof that there is much to look forward to from SIMKHAI. We can’t wait!
