There are many things we love about the new Fashionable 50 issue of Sports Illustrated, especially the cover! It features Serena Williams in a chic tailcoat by CFDA member Thom Browne. Inside the magazine, Williams stuns in an LBD.

“My whole career has been really about tennis and fashion,” Williams told Sports Illustrated. “I always try to make a statement when I walk out on the court—to be bold and to be unique and to kind of transcend. I always try to send the message of just being confident and being fierce.”

The 23 Grand Slam tennis champion and designer in her own right is one of 50 sartorially superior athletes to make the list. Others include Odell Beckham Jr., Megan Rapinoe, Russell Westbrook, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Dwyane Wade, Kelly Oubre Jr., and Iman Shumpert.

The athletes were selected by a panel of stylists, editors, influencers, and executives, including CFDA President and CEO Steven Kolb.
