CFDA members Sachin and Babi Ahluwalia are in a celebratory mood, and they are expressing their excitement by returning to bridal.
As designers who fell in love with each other during their time as students at New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology, the love story continues with a new concept titled the “RTC,” or “Ready-to-Celebrate” collection, which debuts on the runway on April 7, during NYFW: Bridal and on RUNWAY360.
“Our love of color, texture, embroidery and silhouettes that flatter the female form is what we focus on, and what our customers come to us for,” said Sachin. “We want our clothes to be worn and loved, …, to be at the party enjoying every moment on the dance floor, not just looking pretty in pictures.”
The Indian-born husband and wife designers have their own family-run atelier in South Mumbai, which gives them complete control over the design process to produce their well-loved designs featuring their signature embroidery, texture, and color.
Looks from the collection will be available to purchase through their e-commerce with accessible pricing, which is a key element for RTC, including the versatility of pieces that can take you to all the in-between moments to the end of the aisle for that unforgettable celebration.
