RUNWAY360: Fashion’s New Digital Home

December 22, 2020

It quickly became pretty obvious that we weren’t going to be able to congregate in person like typical seasons, but, as the saying goes, the show must go on. The idea of a digital platform came in May 2020, and the CFDA buckled down efforts to develop RUNWAY360 in less than four months and create a business tool for designers and brands, and a digital home for press, retailers and consumers to discover and engage with the latest collections for fashion week and beyond.

We are proud that the official NYFW schedule for September 2020 boasted 82 participating brands across all design categories, and a total of 133 designers were onboarded to the platform during the market week. To date, there are close to 300 collections published and counting.

Through the support of NuOrder, the CFDA was able to provide close to 40 virtual showrooms to a select group of rising American talent, which included both New York Men’s Day and Harlem’s Fashion Row.

CFDA thanks founding partner American Express, and acknowledges media support from the New York Times, WWD, and L’Officiel.
