NYFW: Men’s showgoers gathered Thursday night to fête the latest must-have capsule – this one from Rochambeau.

The capsule, in collaboration with artist Yung Jake, is very streetwear-driven. It fuses a deconstruction of the sweatsuit with Nineties heyday graphics – a tangle of USB cords and CDs mashed up with Mortal Combat-era dragons on one hoodie. Tracksuits features tribal tattoo graphics.

“Jake is such an amazing visual artist and it was super fun to work together since he’s an old friend,” Rochambeau’s Joshua Cooper said. “He does a lot of digital work and we thought it’d be interesting to integrate it into clothing.”

Co-creative director Laurence Chandler added, “Jake embodies what Rochambeau is and we thought a party would be a fun way to close out NYFW: Men’s.”

Cadillac House thumped with tunes ranging from Kanye West to The Clash while videos of cartoons –Powerpuff Girls, Nintendo 64-era Mario Kart – were playing on monitors that dotted the space. Before long, rappers Smooky MarGielaa, Squidnice and Smoke Purpp performed in the center of the space.

Hipsters encircled them and bobbed under the blue light – a perfect way to bring the week to a close.
