Although there are bright spots, it’s no secret that our industry continues to face challenges. As our esteemed Chairwoman Diane von Furstenberg likes to point out, everybody is surfing the tsunami to make it through the storm.
For 2018, we hope to see a return of growth across fashion, and the CFDA is here to help. We always look for partnerships to help our designers reach new retailers and consumers, and in the past year, we celebrated special retail partnerships, including the Retail Lab at Cadillac House in New York and a special CFDA shop at the new Fred Segal on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood. We look forward to more retail opportunities next year.
Additionally, we are looking forward to aiding our 500-plus strong membership with guidance and mentorship, and will continue to nurture the present and future of American fashion though our Professional Development and Education programming.
