Tiffany & Co. has tapped Reed Krakoff to collaborate on gifts, home and accessories, such as leather goods, eyewear and tabletop, for 2017.

“Given Tiffany’s rich creative history, I very much look forward to infusing my own passion for design with the timeless sophistication and quality of the brand,” Krakoff said.

The CFDA Board Member is one of the most successful American accessory designers, who transformed Coach in the early 2000s, then launched his eponymous collection which caught the attention of First Lady Michelle Obama, among others. Most recently, Krakoff partnered with Kohl’s for a leather goods line.

He joins an impressive list of talent both past and present to have collaborated with Tiffany in various forms,  among them Sao Schlumberger, Elsa Peretti and Paloma Picasso, as well as Frank Gehry, Richard Lambertson and John Truex, Grace Coddington, and Tiffany design director Francesca Amfitheatrof, who will continue to oversee jewelry.

“Drawing on the world’s most exciting creative talent is quintessential Tiffany,” said Frederic Cumenal, chief executive officer of Tiffany & Co. “Reed has a unique and celebrated vision for iconic American design, which perfectly complements our brand. Reed’s expertise and creativity will serve to re-invigorate these important collections for our portfolio.”
