Rebecca Minkoff and model Rachel Hilbert hosted a special edition of the Equinox Firestarter class benefitting the CFDA Foundation late last month. As part of the CFDA Health Initiative, a group of Equinox members came together to sweat it out in support of the CFDA, with all ticket sales going towards HIV/AIDS and disaster relief.

“As a fashion designer, it’s my duty to promote healthy bodies both on and off the runway,” Minkoff said. “I loved partnering with the CFDA and Equinox with a hard core fitness class. Working out promotes self-confidence and a healthy body image- two things that never go out of style!”

The room was filled with exhausted but exhilarated members as the instructor led everyone in a group stretch to finish off the class.

The CFDA Foundation will continue to raise money and awareness for such important causes. The success of the CFDA Health Initiative would not be possible without the support of the American fashion industry and our members and designers.
