Ralph Lauren chose his women’s store, in the imposing Beaux-Arts mansion at 888 Madison Avenue, as the venue for his Spring 2019 show, transforming its entire main floor into a Ralph’s Café replete with coffee and pastries for all.

It was a perfect setting for a perfect collection – intimate, charming, luxurious, and beautiful at once.

As Lauren himself put it, “To bring the fresh spirit and modern glamour of my Spring 2019 Women’s Collection to life I decided to share it in the charming environment of my new Ralph’s Café on Madison Avenue. I wanted to create an intimate experience to share my vision in a more personal way.”

For the most part, Lauren worked a black, white, and gold palette on designs that played with silhouette, proportion, strict tailoring and languidness. The metallic textures added to the understated glamour, as models Carolyn Murphy, Bella Hadid, Sacha Pivovavora, and Anja Rubik slowly made their way down the staircase and through the café.

Lauren allowed to slow down, take a deep breath, and enjoy the moment. And what a fashion moment it was, with coffee and croissants that were just as good.
