Ralph Lauren Fall/Holiday 2024 Collection

“Don’t go changing to try and please me. You never let me down before.” Most of us know the lyrics to Billy Joel’s “Just the Way You Are” — at least we hope they do. On Monday evening, Joel’s words provided the perfect soundtrack to Ralph Lauren’s gorgeous Fall-Holiday 2024 runway show, presented at the designer’s private design studio within the Madison Avenue headquarters. It was a chic affair for a chic and elevated collection, the kind only Lauren can deliver.

He opened with Christy Turlington in a rich greige ensemble replete with matching tie tucked into the pants. It was a moment that underscored Lauren as America’s master of quiet luxury, showing the rest of us just how it’s done. What followed was equally enchanting with just the right amount of sizzle, including metallic, disco-ready dresses perfect for Uptown Girls, capes, and western touches. It was an ode to the Ralph Lauren ethos, which always comes with great clothes. Indeed, Ralph never lets us down.
