Rachel Scott is Proenza Schouler’s New Creative Director

September 2, 2025

Proenza Schouler just got a notch cooler. Rachel Scott, the 2024 CFDA Womenswear Designer of the Year, was named the new creative director of the label founded by CFDA members Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez over two decades ago (they decamped to Paris to take over the creative direction of Loewe).

Scott recently became a CFDA member, but she’s been a welcome part to our world for some time. In 2023, she was a runner-up for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund and took home the Google Shopping Emerging Designer of the Year trophy at the CFDA Fashion Awards presented by Amazon Fashion. She was also the winner of the inaugural CFDA x Frazer Family Foundation Empowered Vision Award.

Scott will unveil her first designs for Proenza Schouler during New York Fashion Week.

Congrats, Rachel!
