Who doesn’t love a little bling and some cool shades?
On Monday November 14, the CFDA will present the best of both worlds at the Accessories Showcase: Jewelry & Eyewear, at Samsung 837 on Washington Street in the Village. This the first time that Showcases have been combined. The move to Samsung 837, which prides itself on being a conduit for culture and innovation, further solidifies the CFDA’s commitment to integrating technology with fashion.
“Showcasing CFDA’s jewelry and eyewear designers under one roof allows us to make a strong statement for accessories and our growing membership in the category,” said Steven Kolb, President and CEO of the CFDA.
There are currently 82 jewelry designers and 15 eyewear designers who are members of the CFDA.
The participating brands In the jewelry category are Anndra Neen, Coomi, Dannijo, Ex Ovo, John Brevard, Lulu Frost, Mimi So, Mish New York, Nicholas Varney Jewels, Robert Lee Morris, Scosha, Sharon Khazzam, Sidney Garber, Stephen Dweck, Title of Work, and Zadeh.
In eyewear, Barton Perreira, Blake Kuwahara Eyewear, Christian Roth Eyewear, l.a.Eyewear, Leisure Society, Morgenthal Frederics, Robert Marc Eyewear, and Selima Optique are on the line-up.
The CFDA Jewelry Showcase was created in 2013 as a platform to generate exposure for the Council’s growing number of jewelry designers. The Eyewear Showcase, formed with the same intention to increase member recognition, kicked off in 2015. Christian Roth, Simon Alcantara, and Mish Tworkowski led the efforts to combine the showcases.
The designers in both categories will be presenting new collections to press and buyers. Prepare to be wowed.
