Planned Parenthood Pin is NYFW: Men’s Must-Have Accessory

July 11, 2017

Guests at Monday night’s Todd Snyder’s show may have noticed the hot new accessory of the moment – a white and pink Fashion Stands with Planned Parenthood pin.

Building on the momentum of the women’s shows in February, the CFDA is continuing its partnership with Planned Parenthood Federation of America and American fashion designers to raise awareness and funds for Planned Parenthood’s important health centers nationwide.

Snyder is just one designer or brand to have committed to the cause. Also joining are Gustav Von Aschenbach, N-p-Elliott, Nick Graham, Parke & Ronen, Carlos Campos, DYNE, Death to Tennis, Kenneth Ning, Deveaux, Matiere, Willy Chavarria, Palmiers du Mal, Sanchez-Kane, and more.

Many Planned Parenthood health centers offer additional services for men, including cancer screenings, vasectomies, infertility screenings and referrals, erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation support, physical exams, treatment for other conditions, and referrals.

The pin is a call to action and a way to highlight the support that members of the CFDA have for Planned Parenthood’s patients. Each pin will be accompanied with an information card that outlines Planned Parenthood’s services and actions they can take to get involved and stand with Planned Parenthood.

Steven Kolb, President and CEO of the CFDA, said, “The fashion industry has a powerful voice and we will continue to speak up for organizations like Planned Parenthood that need our help now more than ever.  New York Fashion Week: Men’s is a good time to remind people of the services Planned Parenthood provides for men, including STI testing and treatment and sex education and information.”

Cecile Richards, President of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, said, “This support is incredibly important right now as the Senate still seeks to jam through a vote on Trumpcare, which would strip health care from millions, allow insurance companies to charge many women more than $1,000 more per month for maternity coverage and block low-income patients from going to Planned Parenthood for preventive care, including STI testing and treatment and cancer screenings.

Take a picture wearing the pin, and share it with your followers using the hashtag #IStandwithPP!
