The stars were aligned at Wednesday evening’s CFDA and Rockefeller Center’s Official New York Fashion Week kickoff cocktail at Bar SixtyFive at the Rainbow Room—literally as well as figuratively.

Against the backdrop of the sparkling Manhattan skyline, high-wattage names – CFDA Live at Rockefeller Center Ambassadors Anok Yai, Peso Pluma, Young Miko as well as Kenia Os and Judith Light – were joined by fashion stars, from co-hosts Thom Browne, Michael Kors and Anna Sui to Vera Wang, Anna Wintour, Tory Burch, Cynthia Rowley, Stacey Bendet, Lynn Yaeger, Aurora James, Zac Posen, Linda Fargo, Kenneth Cole, Jessel Taank, Trey Laird, Andrew Kwon, Emily Adams Bode Aujla, and Wes Gordon.

Then there were our Friends of the CFDA, including Allison Sarofim, Lisa Chambers, Dr. Macrene Alexiades, Raul Penaranda, Karen Friedman and Lauren Levison.

The night’s piece de resistance were the special concoctions courtesy of the party’s partner Starbucks, including the Starbucks Reserve Espresso Martini, the Roastery Old Fashion, and the Butterfly Tea Spritz, as well as exclusive protein foams including an irresistible Iced Vanilla Protein Matcha (we also loved the special Starbucks gift cards on the way out).

CFDA CEO and President Steven Kolb, in his remarks, talked about the boldness and creativity of the American fashion industry within the context of New York City’s 400^th anniversary year. “If you think about history and fashion and how fashion has influenced our city and our country, there is a lot of purpose and opportunity to connect to people. It’s about inspiration, it’s about culture, it’s about business, and it’s about creativity, first. Fashion Week is a representation of that.”
