Model and body positivity pioneer Paloma Elsesser is not just a new CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund judge – she’s also going to host this season’s Americans in Paris cocktail at the showroom on Saturday, September 28.
That’s just one bit of news around the seventeenth season of the Paris showcase sponsored by global payments provider Klarna.
The eight participating designers are all 2018 finalists of the program: Batsheva Hay of Batsheva; Emily Adams Bode of Bode, who was a 2018 CVFF Runner-up; Christian Cowan; Danielle Corona of Hunting Season; Jonathan Cohen, also a 2018 CVFF Runner-up; Matthew Adams Dolan; Rebecca de Ravenel, and Scosha Woolridge of Scosha.
Americans in Paris provides invaluable global exposure for designers as well as sales, marketing and media support necessary to expand their respective businesses. The showcase will be located at 63 Rue Pierre Charron.
“Part of the CFDA’s mission is to make American fashion more global,” said Steven Kolb, President and CEO of the CFDA. “With Americans in Paris, we are able to provide emerging designers with the opportunity to showcase their collections to the international editors and buyers in Paris during that week.”
Klarna, a leading global payments provider, is proud to sponsor the initiative. Klarna increases purchasing power for shoppers by allowing them to use various checkout methods and pay over time. By supporting this initiative, Klarna continues its dedication to the fashion industry – assisting both consumers and retailers.
The showroom will be open from Saturday, September 28, to Monday, September 30, 11am to 6pm.
