The Manhattan home CFDA President and CEO Steven Kolb shares with husband Jay Inkpen is a testament to many of the things the couple appreciates in life, among them unique photography, paintings, and illustrations as well as a notable collection of owls.
This chic abode is now the focus of a Collector’s Spotlight profile on Paddle8.com, which was timed to the Art x Fashion online auction, a partnership between the CFDA and Paddle8 featuring 20 works of art selected by CFDA Members that inspired their designs and overall creativity and supporting the CFDA Foundation, Inc.
The Hells Kitchen home features, for example, a Coke O’ Neal photograph of Elizabeth Taylor (Kolb has several artistic renderings of the late Hollywood legend); drawings by Ruben Toledo and Carroll Dunham, a Robert Mapplethorpe photograph of Isabella Rosselini, and two Ross Bleckner floral watercolors. And that’s just some of the art, which is set against an elegant interior filled with mid-century furniture such as a Marcel Breuer Wassily chair.
