Okay, let’s get the bad news out of the way first. Through the entire weekend, it rained nonstop – often torrential – but that didn’t dampen fashion spirits. Far from it. On both days, New York designers delivered some great lineups, led by Sies Marjan’s Sander Lak. His outstanding collection artfully played with colors – some ombré – for dresses and several terrific must-have coats. Alexander Wang replaced #Wangfest with fierce looks informed by the idea of female bosses and in the process showed his best collection in some time, while Brandon Maxwell and Prabal Gurung each offered their individual take on modern glamour.
Click through to see our favorite looks from these designers, as well as Christian Siriano, who celebrated his 10th anniversary with a show extravaganza, Eckhaus Latta, Victoria Beckham and Mansur Gavriel, which showed crisp looks for Spring-Summer 2018.
