The fifth day of shows – the second of women’s – started with flowers and ended with celebrations.
Tory Burch and Jason Wu both had beautiful floral sets that provided the perfect backdrops: Burch’s bed of carnations served as the set for a collection inspired by style icon Lee Radziwill and Pina Bausch’s Nelken, while columns of flowers nicely complemented Wu’s beautiful lineup which featured some looks adorned with Swarovski crystals for extra charm.
After collections from Nicole Miller, Chromat, and Cushnie et Ochs, where Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs celebrated their 10-year anniversary with slinky party-ready looks, the evening belonged to CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner Telfar Clemens and Bottega Veneta’s Tomas Maier.
Clemens showed his collection in a concert featuring musicians in Telfar looks such as backless sweaters and denim and leather chaps.
Maier merged New York references with Italian craftsmanship against the backdrop of a cool apartment filled with Bottega Veneta furniture and iconic vintage pieces. We were ready to move in.
