With all the natural disasters and political turmoil, we can all agree that we need to find a happy place – one of love and a little flower power. On Monday, many New York Fashion Week runways provided just that, foremost Anna Sui’s show, which dripped in hippie and ended with Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.
Other designers served happy using different recipes. Phillip Lim’s strong lineup charmed with clean lines and feminine ruffles. Zero + Maria Cornejo’s 20th anniversary show featured electric hues, while Carolina Herrera and Oscar de la Renta offered red-carpet-ready eveningwear (and some memorable day looks). Lela Rose, Rosie Assoulin, Colovos, Dennis Basso, Yeohlee, Angel Sanchez and Helmut Lang Seen by Shayne Oliver were also among the shows on Day Five.
