Nordstrom Fêtes 125 Years with Thom Browne & CFDA

Nordstrom is turning 125 this year, and to kick off the yearlong celebration, its co-CEO Pete Nordstrom along with Thom Browne and the CFDA gathered a high-voltage fashion crowd at an intimate cocktail at the New York flagship’s Wolf restaurant on Tuesday.

On hand were CFDA’s Steven Kolb, Nordstrom’s Rickie De Sole, Olivia Kim and Jian DeLeon, and many of our dearest fashion friends — think Burberry CEO Joshua Schulman, Jil Sander creative director Simone Bellotti, Jasmin Larian, Carmen Busquets, Zaldy, Joseph Altuzarra, Maria Cornejo, Stacey Bendet, Andrew Rosen, Jennifer Fisher, Jeffrey Kalinsky, Chloe Malle, Sara Moonves, Susanne Bartsch, Christopher John Rogers, Jennifer Shanker, Cynthia Rowley, Emily Smith, Clare Vivier, Henry Zankov, Tanner Richie and Fletcher Kassel, and more.

“It’s really heartwarming to see so many people in this restaurant,” Nordstrom told the crowd. “Please come back some other time when you can eat.

“We’ve been here for five years,” he continued. “We have very good momentum and it feels fun to be celebrating 125 years.”

The event also gave a sneak peek into Nordstrom’s 125th anniversary programming, which will include exclusive brand activations, product launches, customer experiences, and storytelling.

“We’re feeling great about the future,” Nordstrom added.

So do we. Here’s to another 125 years – and many more – for Nordstrom.
