Nordstrom Celebrates 2021 Fashion Fund Finalists with Special Showcase

The fashion community was back in full force on Wednesday to celebrate a special installation in honor of the 2021 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalists.

Located on the second floor of Nordstrom’s NYC Flagship location, guests could view designs from each of this year’s designers: Abrima Erwiah of Studio 189, Batsheva Hay of Batsheva; Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta of Eckhaus Latta; Anifa Mvuemba of Hanifa; LaQuan Smith; Rebecca Henry and Akua Shabaka of House of Aama; Kenneth Nicholson; Jameel Mohammed of Khiry; Edvin Thompson of Theophilio; and Willy Chavarria.

The exhibition spotlights all of finalists of the Fashion Fund and draws awareness to their incredible design talent. Visitors to the display will see special pieces on display and scan a unique QR code to learn more about each designer. For many of these designers, this marks the first time their wares are showcased on such a platform.

In honor of the occasion, Nordstrom hosted an intimate cocktail party where past finalists like Alejandra Alonso Rojas, Gigi Burris, and Victor Glemaud mingled alongside stars Hannah Bronfman and Kathryn Gallagher. Swipe through our gallery to see the best moments from the night.

 

The exhibition will be on display now through November 15.
