Where will Bella Hadid, Diesel’s Renzo Rosso and Vogue Runway’s Nicole Phelps gather to toast the best emerging talent out there this Friday? At Americans in Paris, of course!
The trio is kicking off the three-day showcase, which provides invaluable global exposure for designers as well as sales, marketing and media support, by hosting a cocktail party for the nine designers that night.
The participating talents are 2017 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner Telfar Clemens of Telfar and the runners-up Ahlem Manai-Platt of Ahlem and Becca McCharen-Tran of Chromat, as well as Victor Glemaud, Jordan Askill, Matthew Harris of Mateo New York, Eli Azran of RtA, Sandy Liang, and Patric DiCaprio, Bryn Taubensee, David Moses and Claire Sully of Vaquera.
Diesel is the lead underwriter of the initiative, which is located in a townhouse at 29 Rue Du Faubourg Saint-Honoré.
“Diesel has a proud history of supporting young talent, which goes all the way back to 2001,” said Renzo Rosso, Founder of Diesel and President of Italian fashion group OTB (Maison Margiela, Marni, Viktor&Rolf). “By supporting Americans in Paris and the top emerging American talents, we are able to continue this important tradition and help secure the future of fashion.”
Tomorrow London Holdings Ltd is providing additional support through targeted outreach for the designers and managing sales appointments.
“Tomorrow London Holdings provides integrated multi-services ranging from product development and production to wholesale and retail distribution to achieve profitability,” said Stefano Martinetto, CEO and Founder of Tomorrow London Holdings. “We are delighted to support Americans in Paris and the CFDA alongside our friend and partner Renzo Rosso.”
In keeping with the Americans in Paris theme, the showroom will again feature pastries from Stoney Clove Bakery, the American bakery near Les Halles in Paris.
“We thank Renzo Rosso and Diesel as well as Stefano Martinetto and Tomorrow London Holdings Ltd for underwriting Americans in Paris this season,” said Steven Kolb, President and CEO of the CFDA. “Cultivating the next generation of American fashion designers and providing them with global opportunities is part of CFDA’s overall mission.”
The showroom will be open from Saturday, March 3 – Monday, March 5, 11am-6pm. RSVP: americansinparis@kcdworldwide.co.uk
