Narciso Rodriguez Fall-Winter 2019

Narciso Rodriguez is a designer’s designer. He impresses season after season with precision and sartorial engineering – a combination that often lands his clothes in museum archives. For Fall-Winter 2019, the CFDA’s 2018 Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement award recipient took a more languid turn.

The loose white and black dress that opened the show set the tone for the lineup, which exuded ease and elegance. Other standout looks included a casual black leather coat, a green tunic, and chicly draped and tied dresses that provided a new dimension to Narciso’s signature.

Throughout, the designer nodded to Cristóbal Balenciaga. A recent visit to the museum in Spain dedicated to the fashion legend’s work inspired Rodriguez.

The result—absolutely breathtaking.
