Naeem Khan Confirmed for Singapore Fashion Week

Naeem Khan, who is unveiling his Spring-Summer 2014 collection in New York on Sept. 14, will also stage a show at Singapore Fashion Week in October. The encore is part of SGFW’s continuing partnership with the CFDA, which, in past seasons, featured Diane von Furstenberg, Thakoon, and Prabal Gurung, among others.

Khan will be showing the new spring collection, as well as looks from his Fall-Winter 2017 Bridal collection that he is presenting in New York next month.

This Singapore Fashion Week celebrates Asian designers and along with Khan, who is Indian-American, participating designers include Chinese couturier Guo Pei and Malaysian-born, London-based designer Han Chong of Self-Portrait.

Khan, who started in fashion by apprenticing with Halston, is known for his rich embroideries and couture techniques, as well as his impressive list of fans, including First Lady Michelle Obama, who has worn his dresses on several official occasions, Queen Noor of Jordan, Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé, and the Duchess of Cambridge.

SGFW, organized by Mercury Marketing & Communications, will take place October 26-30 at the National Gallery Singapore.
