This was quite the year for Christopher John Rogers. After leaving his job at Diane von Furstenberg and branching out on his own, the Baton Rouge-born, Brooklyn-bred designer has quickly made a name for himself. He staged his first runway show during New York Fashion Week, and dressed the likes of Michelle Obama, Lizzo, and Tracee Ellis Ross in his exuberant designs and vibrant spirit. When he took home the top prize from the 2019 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, the audience was on their feet. We can’t wait to see what Christopher has in store for the next decade.
