Marina Moscone Spring-Summer 2021

The woman always comes first for Marina Moscone. Every season, the designer asks herself, “What is she doing, where is she going, and how does she want to feel?”
Recent months made these questions a bit more challenging to answer, yet Moscone reached the solution as she always does – instinctively.
Observing the women of New York City during this time, the designer stuck to her roots – craftsmanship, womanism, and heritage. By referencing the work of female pioneers such as Marisa Merz, Lee Radziwill, and Georgia O’ Keefe, artistry became the focal point. Even with her Italian mills closed, Moscone created her own loom to weave beautiful creations in citrine, pale aqua, and bronze tones. Oversized tunics, knit dresses, and loosely draped dresses provide a sense of ease in dressing. During an uncertain time, Moscone‘s authenticity rings true.
