Marchesa Spring-Summer 2022

Floral details – think embroideries and appliques – are not uncommon in bridal designs, but leave it to Marchesa’s Georgina Chapman to reimagine such details masterfully. For Marchesa, she looked to the White Garden at Sissinghurst Castle in Kent, England – think foxglove, delphinium, hydrangea, peonies, roses, artemisia, and lilies. She translated the theme in several new ways from silky embroidery on gazar to bundles of roses and buds making their way down skirts. The effect was exquisite and fresh, like a just-plucked bundle.

For Marchesa Notte, the CFDA member looked to the Flower Fields of Carlsbad near San Diego, best known for blooming wildflowers, daisy fields and overgrown vine trellises. This bride channels a more irreverent, dreamy vibe. In a word, beautiful.
