The 1871 painting “Cattleya Orchid and Three Hummingbirds” by artist Martin Johnson Heade served as Georgina Chapman’s inspiration for the Marchesa bridal couture spring 2025 collection.

The lookbook, shot with nature’s secret garden as a backdrop, features the orchid and three hummingbirds as a central motif and perfect pairing for the opulent designs. The orchid’s blooms, stems and buds are reimagined in 3-D fabrications, matched with pearls, crystals and dramatic grand-scale gazar sculptural elements that are signature to the Marchesa bride.
