Before COVID-19 changed the way we live, Jennifer Fisher was living a life constantly on the go. A veteran in the industry approaching her 15-year anniversary, she was running her own retail store and the office, had just unveiled a home collaboration with CB2, and growing her lifestyle empire with a successful line of cooking and finishing salts.
Now, the jewelry designer finds herself in a whole new world. With her entire office working remotely, Fisher is personally handling all day-to-day logistics for the company, just as she did when she first launched her namesake brand.
In her own words, Fisher gets candid about her experience living during the time of the coronavirus epidemic.

“I am writing this at a very surreal time and I am thinking of all of you and hope you are staying healthy and safe.
It’s definitely a very strange time and our business is feeling the immediate impact of COVID-19. In an effort to help keep everyone safe we have temporarily closed our retail store and office – that being said our online retail store is still open and running. With the team at home, and our fulfillment center still operational I have been handling the everyday shipping / receiving / quality controlling of product. It’s sort of like going back to where I was when I started the business almost 15 years ago and was doing it all by myself from my bedroom in my apartment. The team is continuing to put in time from home and our sales team is on call to answer all customer inquiries. We are adapting to life where office meetings are held over google hangout. It’s really making me appreciate how hard everyone works for us and I am so proud and heartened to see how the team has come together during this time. I am incredibly grateful to our FEDEX and UPS service people who continue to show up daily even in the midst of all of this. And to our loyal customers who will keep us going through this unnerving time.
Each day is definitely an adjustment, I always tell people, ‘I don’t go to therapy. I cook’ and so these past few weeks have been no exception. We sell three custom blended cooking and finishing salts, Universal, Spicy and Curry. I have been spending a lot of my time coming up with new recipes that include these, all of which I post on my cooking Instagram @jenniferfisherkitchen and also on the kitchen section of our website. The cooking account has been a great outlet for me to be able to continue interacting with our customers during this time.
I am slowly becoming accustomed to just how ’routine’ things can seem, even in isolation, until you go outside to shop for necessities. With two growing teenagers at home the grocery runs are a constant. What keeps me feeling normal? At the end of a long day I still have to get dinner on the table for my family. I am confident and optimistic that this too shall pass. Stay safe and healthy.”
