Last night, LaQuan Smith invited his friends for an intimate dinner at luxe cocktail bar Socialista to celebrate a made in the USA capsule collection of Western-inspired denim looks with Jordache, the iconic American denim brand founded in 1977.

Revelers included Luka Sabbat, Ming Lee Simmons, Tristan Mack Wilds, Ryan Jamaal Swain, Richie Shazam, Va$htie Kola, Cindy Bruna, Riley Montana, Elsa Hosk, and singer Lion Babe, who serenaded the crowd with a smooth acapella rendition of her hit “Treat Me Like Fire.”

The collaboration initially debuted on the designer’s Spring-Summer 2020 runway in New York which featured Smith’s signature ode to sex appeal with a mix of futuristic detailing – think low-rise jeans, denim shorts, corseted strapless dresses, Western denim shirts, bustiers, and even assless chaps for men.

With the exception of the latter, guests sported the looks for dinner and the after party, with tunes by DJ Mazurbate, a frequent collaborator of the designer for shows. In a toast to the fashionable crowd, Smith thanked the room for inspiring him in one way or another. “I think that what we represent here in this room is a level of authenticity and reviving what fashion used to be, and that’s sex appeal, New York, and being wholly authentic with who we are as ourselves,” Smith said. “Thank you all for being beautiful, sexy people.”
