It’s an exciting day for CFDA – we just unveiled a new partnership with activewear brand Fabletics for Fashion Targets Breast Cancer, and co-founder Kate Hudson is FTBC’s ambassador for the month of October.
Hudson is no stranger to fashion and a good cause. The Golden Globe-winning and Oscar-nominated actress and star of such movies as Almost Famous and Something Borrowed, Hudson is also a friend of Michael Kors and joined CFDA Board Member in his quest to fight world hunger through his Watch Hunger Stop campaign in 2015. When the FTBC ambassadorship was presented to her, she jumped at the chance.
“I feel so honored to be an ambassador for Fashion Targets Breast Cancer,” said Hudson, who joins an impressive roster of previous FTBC Ambassadors including included Kate Moss, Christy Turlington, Karolina Kurkova, and Maria Sharapova.
As a longtime supporter of the cause, I believe being given the opportunity to lend your voice and creativity to empower, support and spread awareness is a beautiful thing.
In honor of FTBC, Fabletics has also created a breast cancer awareness outfit with proceeds supporting the CFDA’s historic cause. Fabletics will also support the cause with an in-store shopping event at the Fabletics Los Angeles store hosted by Kate Hudson on October 10th.
“We couldn’t be more excited to have Kate join the history and legacy of Fashion Targets Breast Cancer,” said CFDA President and CEO Steven Kolb.” It’s a meaningful cause to the CFDA and one that we work yearound to help fundraise for. With Fabletics’s focus on health and fitness, Kate is a perfect Ambassador to the cause and understands the importance of how fashion can support philanthropic endeavors.”
With Fabletics’s support, the CFDA can continue to fundraise for breast cancer patient care and impact lives in a meaningful way.
