Jonathan Cohen’s inspiration for fall 2025 came from Elizabeth Taylor, one of the most legendary silver screen names, who would frequent boxing matches. Her undeniable glamour and spot lit personality at the match captured the attention of global cultural icon and Muhammed Ali, known as “The Greatest” heavyweight boxer of all time, in the ring, which is the origin story for the CFDA member’s collection.
And with the delivery of a knockout collection fusing boxing elements and Cohen’s signature floral motifs, upcycling and knots, the designer took a different approach with a presentation of the collection on mannequins—but his lookbook was a showcase of his fashion family.
CFDA members Batsheva Hay and Gigi Burris O’Hara as well as fellow co-founder and CEO Sarah Leff serve as models alongside Julie Gilhart, Kimberly Drew, Sally Singer, Phyllis Kao, and Mei Zou, among others.
“Across inspirations, silhouettes and our extraordinary cast of women photographed here, spring is about exploring the imagination–and synergy–that results from bringing people and ideas together,” said Cohen.
The collection also features two collaborations with close friends of the house, including CFDA member Selima Salaun for his first eyewear collection. In collaboration with Selima Optique, “The Siouxsie,” named after singer-songwriter Siouxsie Sioux, is a narrow cat-eye frame following the musician’s signature strong eyebrow.
In addition, Cohen tapped longtime collaborator Marina Larroude, who also appears as a look book model and is a designer of the Larroudé footwear brand, for a second footwear collaboration featuring flats with Cohen’s hallmark knots, boxing boots and boxing boot heels.
The fall 2025 collection is available for preorder at jonathancohenstudio.com, and both seasons of the Larroudé footwear collaboration are available on the Jonathan Cohen and Larroudé websites.
