Pretty is as pretty does – or so goes the saying. In the case of Jonathan Cohen’s Fall-Winter presentation, there will multiple ways the designer delivered on these words. For one, the venue – The Maxwell social club in Tribeca – provided the perfectly pretty setting tailor-made for this pretty lineup.

Cohen’s starting point was music; more precisely, the concert lighting’s kaleidoscopic color combinations inspired by seeing live performances by Beyoncé, The Cure, and more this past year. He also created digital compositions  combining his own concert photos over the years, to special effect. Fabric remnants were used as pipings and linings on some of the looks, including the shoes he created in collaboration with Larroudé. The result: delightful, sophisticated looks perfect for chic women.
