Jeffrey Cares with Zachary

March 24, 2015

Jeffrey Fashion Cares is back on April 6, and this year, founder Jeffrey Kalinsky has been able to secure a name that’s very popular among his target audience and beyond: Zachary Quinto. The actor will serve as honorary chair of the evening, which benefits the LGBT community and those living with HIV/AIDS through ACRIA, the Hetrik-Martin Institute and Lambda Legal.

The night will feature cocktails and a silent auction, as well as a fashion show featuring in  40 male models – “the world’s most handsome” ones, according to Kalinsky –  in looks from the spring collections. The Jeffrey Fashion Cares Community Leadership award will go to Peter Wilson, the philanthropist, lawyer, and “coincidentally also one of my best friends,” Kalinsky noted.

For those who can’t wait until April 6, an online auction went live at Gravel & Grand on Monday.

Kalinsky launched Jeffrey Fashion Cares in Atlanta, of which he is a native, in 1992, and brought it to Gotham in 2003. Since its launch, the event has raised more than $11 million, with 90 percent of proceeds going to the causes. This year’s goal is to raise more than $600,000. “I am always just hoping to rraise the most amount of money,” said Kalinsky. Buy your tickets now.
