Jason Wu will reprise his beautiful Spring-Summer 2018 show at Singapore Fashion Week (SGFW) on Saturday, Oct.28.
The encore is part of CFDA’s ongoing partnership with Mercury Marketing & Communications, which organizes SGFW at the National Gallery Singapore.
“Singapore is such an important market for fashion, and I have always wanted to visit and see the talent that comes out of Southeast Asia and it’s a perfect opportunity at Singapore Fashion Week,” Wu said. “I am looking forward to showing my new collection on the Singapore runway and to personally meet my customers while I’m there.”
Wu, who was born in Taipei, is joined at SGFW by over 50 designers from 11 Asian countries who will participate in the three-day event.
As part of our partnership, designers of emerging SGFW brands – GINLEE Studios, Whole9Yards, Ling Wu, and Nida Shay – will visit New York to attend top-tier mentorship meetings with CFDA, its Members and partners.
Wu joins American designers who have shown here in the past, including Naeem Khan, Diane von Furstenberg, Thakoon, and Prabal Gurung. In addition to staging his show, he will also be a speaker at ZIPCODE, SGFW’s inaugural Fashion Tech Summit.
He is looking forward to getting to know Singapore’s style and more. “In my free time,” he said, “I will be sure to sample Singapore’s world-famous street food.”
