Jason Wu is the subject of a new exhibition at TAO ART in Taipei. “Robert Rauschenberg and Jason Wu: Common Threads” explores the dialogue between the CFDA member’s fashion creations and the work of the American artist.

The exhibition pairs Wu’s Spring 2026 collection with works from the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation, including pieces that directly inspired the collection. By presenting the garments alongside Rauschenberg’s artwork, Common Threads examines the relationship between fashion, fine art, and creative experimentation.

The exhibition marks the first time Wu’s designs have been shown in Taiwan and the first time his collection has been exhibited alongside the specific Rauschenberg works that informed its creation.

“Working with the Rauschenberg Foundation and having access to their incredible collection was truly a dream come true,” Wu said. “This collection represents not only a tribute to Rauschenberg, but also a personal reflection of my journey as an immigrant who collects seemingly disparate references and weaves them into my work.”
