Issa! Brooklyn! Digital Nominees and Honorees Unveil! Get ready for some major excitement at 2018 CFDA Fashion Awards in Partnership with Swarovski.

Issa Rae will host the awards on June 4. Not only has Rae’s content garnered millions of views online and two consecutive Best Actress Golden Globe nominations for HBO’s Insecure. She is also a fashion favorite and celebrates American fashion on the red carpet, having worn Marc Jacobs, Prabal Gurung, Vera Wang, Narciso Rodriguez, Rosie Assoulin, and more.

“Issa Rae is leading a new generation of performers who use their voice and humor to discuss social topics in a way that is relatable and poignant,” said Steven Kolb, President and CEO of the CFDA.

For the first time in its 37-year history, the CFDA Fashion Awards will take place in Brooklyn at the Brooklyn Museum. One of the largest museums in the United States, it features world famous collections ranging from ancient Egyptian masterpieces to contemporary art, as well as the current David Bowie is exhibition which offers an unprecedented look into the creative process of the iconic artist. The museum’s Beaux-Arts building was designed by McKim, Mead and White.

“The Brooklyn Museum is a strong and iconic backdrop to one of fashion’s biggest nights,” Kolb added.

The nominees and honorees of the 2018 CFDA Fashion Awards in Partnership with Swarovski will be unveiled @cfda on Instagram on Thursday, March 15, beginning at 7:30PM. The digital announcement campaign, developed by The Creative Group, Condé Nast, celebrates this year’s honest, altruistic tone and artistic design direction through a mix of designers, models, and other influencers who were shot at the Brooklyn Museum or talent workspace.
