Known for her larger than life personality and bold sense of humor, Issa Rae privately wed her longtime partner Louis Diame this weekend in an intimate wedding ceremony in the South of France.

The Emmy-nominated actress opted for none other than CFDA member Vera Wang for her special day. The designer created a custom gown for the comedian, who stunned in a custom light ivory strapless sweetheart neckline ballgown with hand placed Chantilly lace accented by hand-sewn crystal beading and a light ivory chapel length veil with hand-placed Chantilly lace.

For the reception, she opted for a more minimal look in lily white Italian silk crepe plunging V-neck A-line gown with a layered tulle skirt accented by a dramatic front slit.

Rae is known for her keen sense of style. As the host of the 2018 CFDA Awards, she made headlines for her four outfit changes throughout the night – all spectacular looks and all from emerging black designers. It comes as no surprise that the Insecure star looked radiant for her special day.
