Ippolita Rostagno appreciates beauty in a myriad of ways that she has channeled into her inspiring career. The CFDA member is known for her exquisite Ippolita jewelry, for one. She has also make her mark on the interior design world via Artemest.com, which, since 2015, offers her vision for home décor via a unique virtual marketplace for Italian artisanal craft.

Now, the two have beautifully come together in Ippolita’s new Chicago boutique at 900 North Michigan Shops, Level 1 – the brand’s second store after the New York flagship. The store features décor décor by Artemest. Exuding a jewelry box vibe, it aims to reinvent the way consumers buy jewelry. Case in point, the open-selling experience without glass barriers, allowing shoppers to touch and try on jewelry in a way that is inviting and not intimidating.

“I want to create a new kind of luxury experience that encourages the customer to explore the beauty of the pieces within a radically new environment,” Rostagno said.

It marks the 20-year milestone for the brand as well as the kickoff of a retail expansion strategy – and Chicago was the perfect place to celebrate this.

“Chicago represents a great opportunity for us as our brand resonates with women who are sophisticated and worldly,” the designer said. “Our customer is a self-made woman who aligns her purchases with her personal taste and buys jewelry she can wear as a second skin and from day to night. She often becomes a collector, creating a jewelry wardrobe that is unique to her.”

And a visit to the new boutique is a perfect opportunity to enhance that wardrobe.
