Nowadays, it seems there is an app for everything. Some help you keep track of e-mails, some help you monitor the weather, and some keep us connected to our friends. While they are all highly valuable in their own way, they are scattered – and a group of fashion industry experts seeks to streamline this process.
Introducing Latitude, a new weather and lifestyle app centered around the science of happiness. A team of fashion veterans, including Anne Slowey (formerly Fashion News Director at Elle, and an editor at W and American Vogue) and Anne Christensen (formerly Creative Director for Glamour and Fashion Director of T Magazine) are behind the new personalized fashion and weather mobile app. The goal is to provide ease to the user’s morning routine – helping them get dressed by providing easy wardrobe solutions based on the weather and what’s going on in the world.
“Our primary goal is to liberate people from the burden of decision fatigue, while we help them align their personal values with their love of fashion,” says Slowey. “Ultimately, we want to flip the script on the style narrative and become a platform that empowers people to get dressed with ease, shop with confidence, and express themselves as unique individuals, while parsing the culture of fashion and style in a practical yet entertaining and informative context.”
In-app features will also include daily news briefs, a global fashion feed for community engagement, in-app shopping, product recommendations, and curations of editor-approved pieces across size, occasion, and season.
To check the app out for yourself, download the app at the Apple App Store today for free.
