On Tuesday, CFDA Members gathered in Cynthia Rowley’s West Village studio for the bi-annual CFDA Membership meeting. Among the many members in attendance were Stacey Bendet of Alice + Olivia, Stuart Vevers of Coach, Kerry O’Brien of Commando, Gigi Burris, Christian Roth, Robert Geller and CFDA’s Chairwoman Diane von Furstenberg.

Bora Chow, head of Luxury Partnerships at Facebook, was the guest speaker. She discussed how designers can make their business more mobile friendly, from creative ad campaigns to one-click shopping. “It’s a mobile world,” Chow said, urging designers to think of the smartphone as their primary source of consumer connectivity.

The meeting also featured a passionate discussion on the Factory Manufacturing Initiative and opportunities in Brooklyn’s Sunset Park.

The meeting engaged talks of the future and was a perfect touch-base between CFDA staff and the Members.
